Job Description
Etsy is looking for a Content Integrity Agent to join their content moderation team. This team is responsible for interpreting and enforcing Etsy’s policies related to user-generated content. As a Content Integrity Agent, your main focus will be on identifying and removing non-qualifying content, essentially handling spam.
The role reports to the Content Integrity Manager and can be based in Brooklyn, New York, Hudson, New York, or any location across the U.S.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
On a typical day, you’ll be handling the following responsibilities:
- Understanding and enforcing assigned sections of Etsy seller policies.
- Staying up-to-date with training and following workflow and escalation guidelines.
- Using Etsy’s internal tools to review digital content within listings, reviews, and messages.
- Removing content that does not comply with Etsy’s policies. This may include potentially disturbing content such as hate speech, paraphernalia, mature content, and more.
Qualifications
To qualify for this position, you should meet the following criteria:
- At least one year of experience in content moderation, fraud investigation, or other e-commerce risk management.
- Demonstrated good judgment, especially in ambiguous situations.
- Ability to work both independently and within a team structure.
- Excellent written communication skills.
- Comfortable with providing and receiving feedback.
- Ability to handle sensitive topics with composure and maturity.
- Availability to work a Tuesday to Saturday schedule.
