World Alzheimer’s Day 2022: September 21 –

On September 21, International Alzheimer’s Day is celebrated. This day aims to make people aware of this disease that affects more and more people.

Alzheimer’s is one of the main causes of dementia in people and already reaches 70% of cases. In our country there are already more than 1,200,000 people affected by this disease and it not only affects the person with Alzheimer’s, but also the relatives, caregivers and friends around them.

On September 21, the CEAFA or Spanish Alzheimer’s Confederation, all member Federations and Associations and the more than 200,000 affected families will commemorate World Alzheimer’s Day, an event instituted by the WHO and supported by Alzheimer’s Disease International or ADI in 1994.

This day aims to put people who suffer from this disease at the center of attention and improve the quality of life of those who suffer from the disease and those around them: caregivers, family and friends. That is why it is very important to see what are the main shortcomings of these people and thus deal with the problems and provide an adequate support framework.
