Rachel Vedder is a pet groomer and has received hundreds of flak for dyeing her pet Kitty’s fur, thinking it should match her hair. It is true that she uses dyes suitable for dogs, but in the same way, she could not avoid being the target of judgment.
When a human has a pet, of course he can raise it in his own way. The truth is that Rachel, 37, has dyed her dog’s fur for the last 12 years, and has been the victim of disapproval from people on social media, when this fact became known.

Vedder has dyed Kitty in a variety of unique colors and designs, sometimes even matching her own hair.

According to her owner, she has painted many things on Kitty’s body. From cartoon characters like Princess Peach and Major Lazer, to an owl and even a horse, plus dye her many colors at once. She maintains that when she started doing this, she did it with natural products before tincture for dogs became popular.
“I always knew that I wanted to have a dog to turn into a work of art, and when I adopted Kitty, she was the perfect candidate.”
Vedder maintains that he likes to match his hair with his dog’s. She said that she has always been a fan of bright colors, so currently her hair is bright orange with a purple tint. Like her, Kitty’s fur is bright orange with a rainbow tie-dye theme.

“When I started dyeing her hair, some trolls came out of nowhere online to say that what she was doing was animal cruelty, but she had only used animal-friendly products and dyes.”
Rachel expresses that it doesn’t take long to dye her dog’s coat, taking anywhere from one to three hours, depending on the design.

However, the dog groomer clarifies that in Groesbeck, Ohio, where they both live, her dog is quite a local celebrity: “Everyone loves Kitty’s fur, and she loves the attention she gets.”
