Which way turns the dancer? Your answer says something important about you

A few years ago we had the controversy of the golden dress, which last week returned “reloaded” in the challenge of the shoe that some see light blue or green and others pink.

Over time, small objects have become a trend on the Internet as they do not know their color or the direction in which they go. The dress was the most viral and the shoe is the newest, but among all of them there is a trend that will never die.

“The Spinning Dancer” is an optical illusion created in 2003 by web designer Nobuyuki Kayahara. His work, a simple animation of a dancer spinning on her own axis, has gone around the world and has not stopped generating controversy for 14 years.

The simplicity of the work is the factor that makes it so controversial, since the lack of depth makes the arms seem to move from right to left, as well as the foot that is raised, but it is enough to see it for a few seconds so that our brain, when having no points of comparison between the dancer and her background, she can change direction from left to right.

What does the side to which you see it turn mean?

It seems that everything comes down to the hemispheres of the brain.

  • If you see it turn to the right, you are a person who uses the right hemisphere of the brain, so creativity is your forte. Maybe you are not an artist, but poetry is to your liking and you take movies as well as music very seriously, for you it is part of your daily life.

  • On the other hand, if you see the figure move to the left, it is the left hemisphere that is working and for you it all comes down to logic and rational thought. Surely you are someone who looks for the why of everything, even a digital dancer.

The animation is so famous that it has been investigated by English university professors, who came to the conclusion that it is the background that makes this gif so controversial.

Finally, they say that those who can see the dancer turn from one side to the other and then change direction have a high IQ, and where do you see her turn?
