Repetition is the action and effect of repeating or repeating (redo or say what had already been done or said). The concept comes from the Latin repetitĭo.

In the media, repetition is often used to name the issue or to program previously broadcast. Repetition can also be a Figure of speech which consists of deliberately repeating words or concepts with aesthetic intention or to establish an idea: “Did you see the game? What a good game! I can’t believe we won that match.”, “Juan dies, Miguel dies, Gastón dies, young people who fight for liberation always die”.

It is known as epanadiplosis either epanalepsis to the rhetorical figure consisting of the repetition of the same words (either one or more) at the beginning and at the end of one or several sentences: “Blue like the blue sea”, “Green I want you green”.

In the artistic field, the term repetition is also used in another sense. Specifically, it is used to refer to that painting, drawing or sculpture that has been redone by its author. In this way, what the artist achieves with the action is to improve the work or simply offer a somewhat different variant.

In the same way, we cannot forget that within the military sphere there is what is known as a repeating rifle. It is a firearm whose main feature is that it is equipped with a charger that allows various cartridges to be fired in succession.
