What do the lunar nodes in the Taurus Scorpio axis bring us?

On January 18, 2022, the nodal axis went from being in the signs of Gemini-Sagittarius to being located in Taurus-Scorpio until 7/17/2022. Before explaining what it implies and what consequences it can have, let’s talk a little about the nodal axis.

In astrology we consider the movement of the Moon around the Earth and its locations in the ecliptic. However, there are two points where the lunar orbit intersects with the Ecliptic (the apparent motion of the Sun around the Earth). This forms an axis: one of the nodes is on one of the signs and the other on the opposite sign. Eclipses occur on these signs during this period, since it implies the alignment between the Sun, the Moon and the Earth.

During part of 2020 and all of 2021 the North Node was found in the sign of Gemini and the South Node in Sagittarius. The North Node asks us to go work on that energy. It represents an evolutionary work that humanity must carry out during that year and a half. The South Node indicates what we must leave behind, or transcend in order to go to its opposite sign. Therefore, during this past year and a half, we have seen how it was necessary to let go of dogmatism (Sagittarius) and connect with truth, information, science (Gemini). There was a closure of international borders, transatlantic travel and a drop in tourism (Sagittarius), but local tourism benefited, the connection with those closest to us (Gemini).

This year we will have another learning as humanity: With the North Node in Taurus, a sign of Earth and stability, the mission will be to rebuild what has been lost, especially the economy. Take care of goods, resources, work, and mainly the land and nature. Among other lessons learned from the pandemic, the damage that humanity is causing to animals and nature has been highlighted. All of these are bullfighting themes that will be very present, and especially active during eclipses.

The South Node in Scorpio will mean having to transcend the destructive and toxic tendencies of humanity. However, the South Node is not only what I must let go of, but must be integrated with its wisdom. Being able to go to Taurus (peace, calm, stability, communion with life and nature) incorporating Scorpio in its higher octaves (cunning, strategy, ability to see beyond, depth), is much more fruitful since it implies greater wholeness and wisdom.

On a personal level, it will very much depend on where the person has the energy of Taurus and Scorpio in their natal chart and if they have planets present there. Not all of us will experience it in the same way and it is always necessary to carry out an individualized study. But on a general level, we can think that a desire to go towards calmness may predominate, letting go of what is no longer necessary and clinging more strongly to what we value, to what is good for us. A desire to be closer to nature (a phenomenon that has been observed in recent times).

In order to take care of what is beautiful and valuable, it is necessary to be able to let go of what is no longer useful. This premise will be very important in the next 18 months.
