Ready, Set, Go! Start a new weekly inspiration. Are you coming?
How does it work?
The Weekly Inspiration format is an excuse to stimulate your passion for photography and invite you to participate, every week, with a photo of your creation.
In the new Weekly Inspiration format, each week I will propose a photo for you to be inspired by. To participate, you will have to take a photo “inspired” in some way by the proposed photo. It doesn’t have to be exactly the same, but be related or inspired by the proposed photo of the week: you can use the same theme, the same type of subject, or photograph another theme and another subject but imitating the same light scheme, for instance. Any well-crafted photograph will be valid as long as it is clearly seen that it was inspired by the proposed photo, in terms of technique, composition or theme. Otherwise it would not be valid.
Topics will be proposed Thursday and the deadline to upload the photograph will be one week, until the following Thursday when I will propose a new call with a gallery of images that I liked the most, and one that stands out among all the ones in the gallery. In addition, I will upload a new photo that will be the image that will serve to inspire you during that week. You will have until Thursday (with the weekend in between) to capture your image (single a per participant), give it a title and upload it.
How to take part
We put at your disposal several means through which you can upload your photograph to our weekly inspiration chain. Remember that the idea is to upload a single photo per participant and in only one of these media:
- Facebook: Upload your photo to the Facebook wall of Photographer’s Blog. In the description of the photo, please mention the keyword #InspiracionBdF35 followed by a title of your choice. Remember that the title of photography is as important as photography itself.
- Flickr: You can participate by uploading the photo to the Photographer’s Blog Group Mural. Give your photo a caption and be sure to mention the hashtag #InspiracionBdF35 in the same. If you don’t, I won’t know if you want to participate or just share it, so it won’t be highlighted. For this it is also necessary that the download is enabled ;).
- Instagram: Try to use the hashtag #InspiracionBdF35 and give your photo a title that lives up to it ;). Remember that your profile must be public so that we can see your images.
- Twitter: Upload the photo directly to Twitter with the hashtag #InspiracionBdF35 and with a cool title.

Featured Photo of the Week
“Glances” by Sandra Lyd is the featured photo of the week. A portrait so similar and different at the same time from the one proposed to inspire you that I have decided on it. Also for the disturbing look, for that naked soul before the camera. It is not an image that complies with the rule of thirds, however, I think that this fact increases the feeling of uneasiness. Like the contrast caused by the ring against nudity. At first glance it seems distracting, but if you think about it, if you stop a bit, as that look cries out for, you will realize that it manages to disconcert, like the centering of the eyes. I think it is a very complete image in message. I also really like the light, how it paints the outline of the model and how Sandra has controlled the exposure despite the backlight and being an interior. !! Congratulations!!
Weekly Inspiration 35 (from 11/09/2017 to 11/16/2017)
I bring you a photo that will make you work and why not, have fun and learn, that’s the goal, right? It’s a motion picture, which will require you to play at slower speeds. Remember to stabilize your camera but let your mind vibrate and move freely through the paradise of the imagination. It is also an image that clearly plays with color. And now… move!
