Weekly Inspiration 105

Welcome to a new weekly inspiration. Prepare your camera because in a few moments you will feel an irrepressible desire to take photos.

How does it work?

The Weekly Inspiration format is an excuse to stimulate your passion for photography and invite you to participate, every week, with a photo of your creation.

Every week I will propose a photo for you to be inspired by. To participate, you will have to make a photo “inspired” in some way in the proposed photo. It doesn’t have to be exactly the same, but be related or inspired by the proposed photo of the week: you can use the same theme, the same type of subject, or photograph another theme and another subject but imitating the same light scheme, for instance. Any well-crafted photograph will be valid as long as it is clearly seen that it was inspired by the proposed photo, in terms of technique, composition or theme. Otherwise it would not be valid.

Topics will be proposed Thursday and the deadline to upload the photograph will be until Wednesday, the following Thursday I will propose a new call with a gallery of images that I liked the most, and an outstanding one among all those in the gallery. In addition, I will upload a new photo that will be the image that will serve to inspire you during that week. You will have until Wednesday (with the weekend in between) to capture your image (just one per participant), give it a title and upload it.

How to take part

We put at your disposal several means through which you can upload your photograph to our weekly inspiration chain. Remember that the idea is to upload a single photo per participant and in only one of these media:

  • Facebook: Upload your photo to the Facebook wall of Photographer’s Blog. In the description of the photo, please mention the keyword #InspirationBdF105 followed by a title of your choice. Remember that the title of photography is as important as photography itself.
  • Flickr: You can participate by uploading the photo to the Photographer’s Blog Group Mural. Give your photo a caption and be sure to mention the hashtag #InspirationBdF105 in the same. If you don’t, I won’t know if you want to participate or just share it, so it won’t be highlighted. For this it is also necessary that the download is enabled ;).
  • Instagram: Try to use the hashtag #InspirationBdF105 and give your photo a title that lives up to it ;). Remember that your profile must be public so that we can see your images.
  • Twitter: Upload the photo directly to Twitter with the hashtag #InspirationBdF105 and with a cool title.

From the previous week…

Reflections and glasses give for many ideas, here we have some, enjoy them 😉:

Featured Photo of the Week

This week’s featured photo is by Fernanda Pessolani and is titled “From the abyss.” I understand (or intuit) that inspired by the theme of glasses, she has captured her image through some. The fact is that the effect seems almost hypnotic to me.

Sometimes I see a photo and I know I like it objectively and I can determine why based on composition, lighting, etc. Other times I like a photo. No more. It is more difficult for me to explain the reasons because it is more an attraction at the level of sensations. This is one of those cases. I like it. Spot. But of course, I understand that you expect something more, that tells why I have chosen it. So I’ll try to be the most objective possible and find within those sensations that I am talking about a more concrete explanation 😉 .

It seems original to me, I like the harmony of colors, the natural framing, the game of double focus or exposure and the contrast of the movement of the free bird with the static and tied pole, to the ground and to the cables. It is as if the bird boasted before him of its freedom. It is evident that the author has perfectly managed to direct attention to her protagonist. Congratulations Fernando!

Next Saturday, April 13, is International Kissing Day and we want to give it the spotlight. And there are many kinds of kisses, not only for couples or romantics, so I have proposed that this week we be inspired by them, that we fill our social networks with a lot of love, tenderness, passion, whatever it suggests to you. a kiss or whatever inspires you in the following image. Let’s celebrate love, whatever its form! What are you waiting for? 😉
