Weekly Inspiration 104

Welcome to a new weekly inspiration. Prepare your camera because in a few moments you will feel an irrepressible desire to take photos.

How does it work?

The Weekly Inspiration format is an excuse to stimulate your passion for photography and invite you to participate, every week, with a photo of your creation.

Every week I will propose a photo for you to be inspired by. To participate, you will have to make a photo “inspired” in some way in the proposed photo. It does not have to be exactly the same, but be related or inspired by the proposed photo of the week: you can use the same theme, the same type of subject, or photograph another theme and another subject but imitating the same light scheme, for instance. Any well-crafted photograph will be valid as long as it is clearly seen that it was inspired by the proposed photo, in terms of technique, composition or theme. Otherwise it would not be valid.

Topics will be proposed Thursday and the deadline to upload the photograph will be until Wednesday, the following Thursday I will propose a new call with a gallery of images that I liked the most, and an outstanding one among all those in the gallery. In addition, I will upload a new photo that will be the image that will serve to inspire you during that week. You will have until Wednesday (with the weekend in between) to capture your image (just one per participant), give it a title and upload it.

How to take part

We put at your disposal several means through which you can upload your photograph to our weekly inspiration chain. Remember that the idea is to upload a single photo per participant and in only one of these media:

  • Facebook: Upload your photo to the Facebook wall of Photographer’s Blog. In the description of the photo, please mention the keyword #InspirationBdF104 followed by a title of your choice. Remember that the title of photography is as important as photography itself.
  • Flickr: You can participate by uploading the photo to the Photographer’s Blog Group Mural. Give your photo a caption and be sure to mention the hashtag #InspirationBdF104 in the same. If you don’t, I won’t know if you want to participate or just share it, so it won’t be highlighted. For this it is also necessary that the download is enabled ;).
  • Instagram: Try to use the hashtag #InspirationBdF104 and give your photo a title that lives up to it ;). Remember that your profile must be public so that we can see your images.
  • Twitter: Upload the photo directly to Twitter with the hashtag #InspirationBdF104 and with a cool title.

From the previous week…

This gallery is full of very refreshing images, don’t you think?

Featured Photo of the Week

“Transporting Light” by Barbara Hornberg is the featured photograph of that week.

I like it for its creativity, for its message and for its good execution. On a technical level, the bokeh is very well achieved, as is the black background. I like the composition and how it has illuminated the scene with a lateral light on the articulated wooden doll, in such a way that it shapes the volumes giving it life. As if it were a Pinocchio.

On the other hand, I like the message that we can transport light and take it to those who need it, and not only the one that comes out of a light bulb, but the one that makes smiles and illuminates the soul.

Thank you Barbara for continuing to give us your images.

What can you think of doing with glasses? Do you know the possibilities they offer? And if the glasses thing doesn’t suit you, you will surely find another type of inspiration in the image (portrait, hard light…).

Start the engine of your imagination and give work to your faithful companion in fatigue who is waiting for you like rain in May to capture everything that comes to your mind. Looking forward to seeing it! What are you waiting for?
