Here is a new edition of the Weekly Challenge. We already have 3 challenges: Black and White, Portrait and Green photography. Today we go for the room.
How does it work? (Reminder)
Every week I will propose a new challenge, it is a topic that you will have to capture in a photograph and upload it to the Facebook page of the blog, putting in the description the keyword that I will indicate for each topic.
The themes will be varied, from portraits to Macro photography, through landscapes, black and white photography, or babies.
The topics will be proposed on Saturdays, so that you have the whole weekend to work on them. You will have one week to upload your photograph (one photo per participant), until Friday of the following week. On Saturday I will update the article with the photo that has captivated me the most and I will propose a new topic, and so on…
It is not a contest. Simply an excuse to dust off the camera, give it a little life, and practice everything you’ve learned.
Weekly Challenge 4: Love
It is not a technique, it is not a color that I bring you this week. Nothing tangible. The challenge that I propose this week is about an idea, a concept, something abstract called “Love”. What does the word suggest to you? Turn on your camera and try to represent, in the most beautiful way you can, what «Love» can mean. All objects, subjects, situations, techniques, compositions and colors are accepted. It is such a free and broad topic that there really is no excuse not to participate.
Think of a couple holding hands, a heart traced in the sand, a kiss, a hug, an alliance… Think of all the meanings that “Love” can have: paternal love, love of people, friends, son a father,… Look for possible subjects, they can be people, pets, or even plastic dolls. How about a “cheesy” topic? No problem, turn it around, portray it from your perspective, surely you can produce something good 😉
You can use the technique you want, compose the photo as you please, natural, or processed/edited. There are no restrictions. For the noble cause of filling Facebook with the Love Photographer’s Blog anything goes 😉
IMPORTANT: ANDn the description of the photo mentions the keyword “Love Challenge” followed by a title of your choice. Did you already have a previous photo on the subject of the challenge? Great, upload it please. It works for me too.
Do you accept the challenge? Upload some Love to Facebook!
Update
Another week on the wall of the Photographer’s Blog on Facebook has once again displayed impressive photographs, signed by blog readers, treating us this time with a good sentimental portion. The thousand and one ways you have found to express the word “Love” are impressive: your cameras have captured feet, hands, kisses, toothbrushes, grandparents, children, pets, pigeons, rings, books, and even padlocks. You have shown that love is great, at least in the way you imagine and portray it.
As always, CONGRATULATIONS to all of you who have made an effort to find a subject, a composition, a lighting, a technique and a story portraying a pinch of love.
Marga Pons Castejon – At sunset
Estebanny Jimenez – Encounter
Erick Sparda – Paint your love
Luis Muñoz – A kiss… a moment
Rosita Lira – Only love
Juana Moya Cazalilla – Uncovering that feeling
Eliana Posadas – You have the key to my heart
Marta Ferreiro Cajaraville – The typical
Stella Maris – Nidito
Romina Paula Chamorro – A Whole Life
I loved the portrait of paternal love captured by Jose Figueredo López. A correct photograph of silhouettes, with a very successful composition, doubly respecting the rule of thirds: subjects to the right side of the frame, along with the horizon that defines the third part of the frame as well. I can’t look at this picture without thinking twice about love: the father’s love for his baby, and the love that brought him into the world.
Tomorrow new challenge.. Get ready 😉
