We are still with the joy in the body of the Christmas holidays and vacations, do we take advantage of the moment?
How does it work? (Reminder)
Every week I will propose a new challenge, it is a topic that you will have to capture in a photograph and upload it to the Facebook page of the blog, putting in the description the keyword that I will indicate for each topic. The themes will be varied, from portraits to Macro photography, through landscapes, black and white photography, or babies. Topics will be proposed Fridayso that you have all the Weekend to work them. You will have one week to upload your photograph (one photo per participant), until Thursday of the following week. On Thursday I will update the article with the photo that has captivated me the most and on Friday I will propose a new topic so that you have the whole weekend to capture your images, and so on…
Weekly Challenge 192: Joy in Black and White (from 01/06/2017 to 01/12/2017)
Shooting in black and white is not just putting the monochrome option on your camera. It’s not just using an editor to go grayscale. Shooting in black and white is to focus attention on the emotion, on the scene, on the protagonists. It is, among other things, to give your photography timelessness, romanticism and credibility.
That’s why today I challenge you to capture an emotion in black and white. It’s about joy, very easy to capture in color but what about in black and white? You will have to check it for yourself while having fun living happy moments or generating them for your challenge photo. To achieve this, I leave you with 108 resources that will help you when shooting in black and white. I’m waiting for your picture!
As usual, to participate in this week’s challenge upload your photo to the Facebook wall from the Photographer’s Blog: In the description of the photo please mention the keyword “Joy Challenge in Black and White” followed by a title of your choice.
Alternative Means to Participate
Lwhat If you are not from Facebook, you have the following social networks to participate.

I fell in love with this photo as soon as I saw it, it’s about «Sisters», by Francina López. It is a wonderful photograph, perfectly imperfect. And I say this because, despite the lack of focus in some of the protagonists and having a burned part, it is perfect. It is one of those photos where it is better to fail at something and not lose this moment of complicity and laughter between the sisters. A photo that looks like it was originally going to be a pose and ends up in a fresh, spontaneous image full of love and joy, where the color is in the smile of each one of them, nothing more is needed. But not all are failures, we must highlight the composition and treatment of black and white and, above all, know what is the right moment to shoot. Congratulations, Francina, and thank you for sharing this precious moment and spreading your joy to us!
