Dance with Me? The theme that sounds is technique and emotion.
How does it work? (Reminder)
Every week I will propose a new challenge, it is a topic that you will have to capture in a photograph and upload it to the Facebook page of the blog, putting in the description the keyword that I will indicate for each topic. The themes will be varied, from portraits to Macro photography, through landscapes, black and white photography, or babies. Topics will be proposed Fridayso that you have all the Weekend to work them. You will have one week to upload your photograph (one photo per participant), until Thursday of the following week. On Thursday I will update the article with the photo that has captivated me the most and on Friday I will propose a new topic so that you have the whole weekend to capture your images, and so on…
Weekly Challenge 185: Dance (from 11/18/2016 to 11/24/2016)
This week I challenge you to practice the technique while capturing the emotion. And I talk about technique because dance is pure movement, be it classical, rock or hip-hop. The emotion thing doesn’t need to be explained, right? I’ll just add that you should feel as much emotion shooting as the person(s) dancing. Only in this way will your photography make our hearts dance when contemplating it.
You can freeze the motion or stream it. Depending on what you want to evoke. You can photograph one or several people, the type of dance you want. You even have the option to focus on the face of the dancer. But whatever you do, convey the emotion and control the movement. Practice everything you need, but above all, feel what you do!
As usual, to participate in this week’s challenge upload your photo to the Facebook wall from the Photographer’s Blog: In the description of the photo please mention the keyword “Dance Challenge” followed by a title of your choice.
Alternative Means to Participate
Lwhat If you are not from Facebook, you have the following social networks to participate.

And this week the featured photograph is “Dancing with the Sun” by Jose Santana. A good example of how a setting that contrasts with the motif often gives great results. Jose has been able to print movement in the image, transmitting the strength and energy of flamenco dance in a fantastic backlight, with fabulous lighting, taking advantage of the low sun that brings so much warmth to the scene in a blue environment. Well used the wooden dock to reinforce the feeling of warmth and let the co-star sun reflect on it. An excellent composition reinforced by the rule of thirds, the law of the gaze and a very low perspective that gives the protagonist greater power and splendor, while leaving the sky as the background of a beautiful silhouette. Congratulations Josh!
