Despite what the industries of video games, comics, movies, or even some books… want to sell us, The US was not the only major army to fight in World War II.. I remind you (in case you had forgotten) that the war took place on two fronts. The English army advanced through the west and, of course, the American one. The so-called “D-Day” was very important. But as a wise teacher said in a YouTube video: “we must not forget that in The first battle that they give “pal pelo” to the Nazis is in Stalingrad…”
Because we must not forget, that on the eastern front, the war was also being fought. And that in the face of the Nazis, he was fighting the army that was giving the Nazis “bear hugs”, the army that would later take Berlin: “the little redrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrss army, out of the depths of madrrrrrrrre URRRRRRRSS”. within the ranks of the Soviets, we can find great soldiers, generals… but I would like to focus on one of them. his name is Vasily (Zaitsev) like the Russian who has become famous for the slapping contest. And as his namesake, too he distributed beautifully.
Vasily Zaitsev – the red “headshotter”
Our protagonist, Vasily Zaitsev was born on March 23, 1915 in the Urals.. (Between you and me, readers, I had to look to see where the hell they were and what the Urals are. Brief summary: the Urals are mountains that separate Europe from Asia. The extension of these mountains is quite wide (they cover areas from Russia to Kazakhstan).

The guy grew up in the mountains, and from a very young age he was dedicated to running around and hunting bears bare-chested (well… I exaggerated there). But I’m not lying when I say that he liked huntingSince he was little, it was his great hobby. He began hunting with bows and arrows, but at the age of 12, his grandfather had the happy idea of giving him a firearm. Vasily Zaitsev, despite being a child, I had an aim that you don’t see, the animals in the area had to always keep one eye open just in case. When she grew up, she went to study at the Magnitogorsk Technical School. Subsequently, he began to work in what today would be equivalent to a public accountant, a trade called “bookkeeper.”
What Happens When Someone With Demonic Aim Joins The Army – Vasily Zaitsev’s Beginning
Have you ever heard a family member or friend say: “oh… how fast they grow…” Well, look, from the previous paragraph to this other it’s been a few years. Like this, like someone who doesn’t want the thing (not for nothing, but because in those years of childhood and adolescence that I have skipped, nothing significant happens). Our dear friend grows up and decides to enlist in the Navy.. As we already know, the boy had an enviable aim and soon stands out as one of the best snipers in his class.
When Vasily Zaitsev was 26 years old, World War II broke out.and on October 21, 1942, he was assigned as a sniper to the battle of Stalingrad. His goal was to defend the city and prevent the Nazis from crossing the Volga. He pronounced the following quote, making reference to the above: “There is no land for us beyond the Volga” (I interpret it, as he wanted to emphasize that they had to focus on keeping the Nazis from passing, and that they should not think about what might await them beyond the river).
Vassili put on his boots. It has 225 kills (confirmed) of Nazi soldiers, generals and high command. I’m sure when our trusty sniper arrived at the front lines, the group of African coffin dancers were nearby practicing his choreography.
Vasily Zaitsev was very patient, and he didn’t mind waiting as long as it took for his target to come within range. Also he was very witty: One time, he had to finish off a sniper who was in a position close to hisbut did not know its exact location. Since he did not show his head or body, he told the soldier who was with him (because snipers always went with a companion just in case) to show his helmet so that the enemy would shoot and discover his position. He did so, and when König (the German sniper) fired at the decoy, he leaned out to see the supposed dead man, and Vasili Záitsev took advantage of that slip to shoot and kill him.
But it was not enough for the man to just destroy the ranks of the Germans, he also he tutored and taught his comrades to shoot as accurately as he.Vassili stated the following: “…I have trained 30 snipers who have killed 1126 Nazis during the war”. Therefore, he was as good a teacher as he was a sniper. Throughout the Soviet Union there was talk of him and his warlike exploits. It was said that the morale of the Nazis plummeted when they realized that he was in front of them. The population saw him as a war hero, and they held him on a pedestal. Here he left you a compilation of some of his titles and medals:

Vasili Zaitsev’s retirement -From killing Nazis to designing bridges and roads and choosing between 4 shades of red for the new shirts
After the war, Vasily Zaytsev I know settled in kyiv, where he began to work as an engineer… in short, the turns that life takes… But years later, his life took another turn. The “fastest sniper in the East” became director of nothing more and nothing less than… (drum roll) ¡¡¡FROM A TEXTILE FACTORY!!! It is seen that he blamed him for having shot holes in the shirts of his enemies during the war, and now he wanted to make up for it by running a textile factory…
After a good life, on December 15, 1991, life gave him a “big shot” and he died of natural causes. Ten days after he died, the USSR was dissolved. Currently, Vasily Zaitsev rests on Mamayev Kurgan hill in Volgograd.
This is, roughly speaking, the life of one of the soldiers of one of the armies that also fought in World War II. Let us not forget that the victory was not only because the United States participated in the war, but also because of all the Allies as a whole. With that said, I say goodbye.
