On a planet where everything seems to be much closer and more accessible than a century ago, it is wonderful to still find places that evoke a magical tranquility. It is a trip to the past.

From Tambolaka we undertake a journey that crosses dirt roads and small settlements, to arrive in 1 hour and a half to the Nihiwatu resort. From the first minute you feel that you are in a surprising place. The voice of the jungle and the force of the sea merge with the neighing of the horses that march on the beach.

The excellent stables of Sandalwood Stable They have a special aura. From here, we will be able to reveal the hidden charms of the island on the back of a horse. The possibilities are endless. A multitude of wonders await us, our imagination sets the limits.

The list of water sports that the environment suggests is very numerous. Fishing, kitesurfing, snorkeling or a simple boat ride are activities that enjoy great success on the island. However, surfing is on another level. The one known as ‘God’s Left’ is one of the most coveted waves on the globe. Professional surfers dream of catching the mythical wave. In fact, it is so exclusive that there is a restriction of a maximum of 10 people trying to ride it at the same time.

A totally unique alternative is the descent of the Wanokaka River in ‘paddel board’ or canoe. Just imagine the opportunity to watch gray buffalo bathing in the water as you head down the river. It’s almost like a movie.

The sublime gifts of nature follow one another, being able to immerse ourselves in a route led by local guides to the Lapopu waterfalls or Matayangu falls (Blue Waterfall). Both exhibit an idyllic, pure and wild setting and allow us to take a dip in their base full of peace and harmony.
