Maybe you have seen led illuminated balloons at a party, because they are becoming very fashionable. If you did not know them, they will surely seem very striking to you.
These balloons are being sold in more and more places, but the problem, apart from their cost, is that you may only use them once and when the balloon deflates, the light ends up in the trash too.
Here you will learn to make them yourself, and the best thing is that you can incorporate a reused light.
Surely you can find a small led light in your house that still works: look in old toys; in luminous party favors that you have been given at another party, or even in your electronic waste, since if you put a battery in it you can use the old light from some speakers, a mouse, a keyboard or whatever you find.
If you get them from toys or party favors, surely you can find them already with the system and the battery.
Materials
- balloons
- Small led lights and batteries (you can take them out of toys or party favors that you no longer use)
- Scotch tape
Process
1. The first thing you need to do is prepare the led light. If you found one of those with the attached battery in a party favor or an old toy, and it still works, you don’t have to do anything else.
But if you have separate lights and batteries, you should make each connector of the light make contact with a pole of the battery and secure it with adhesive tape, as you see in the photo.
2. Insert the light, already with the battery on, inside the balloon. Since you have to do it with the light on, you should do it a few hours or minutes before the party you want to decorate. This is the most difficult part. If you can’t get the light in easily, create some sort of funnel.
3. Inflate the balloon, and voila!
You can hang the balloons wherever you want or attach a stick to them for children to play with.
When the party is over and you deflate the balloons, don’t throw away the lights, disconnect them from the batteries and store them for next time.
In the following you can see the procedure in detail:
