If you are starting your own vegetable garden or garden, or you want to grow in pots to fill your house with life without a garden, you can learn here a simple gardening trick from La Huertina de Toni to make the roots of your plants grow healthy and strong.

This technique will be especially useful if you want to plant a cutting to reproduce another plant that you already have, or that you have found on a walk.

Best of all, you won’t need to resort to any chemical product or spend a lot of money, since this homemade and natural rooting agent that you will learn about here has only two ingredients that you probably have at home: lentils and water.

Learn how to do it and fill your home with life!

The secret to this trick lies in lentils, which have a high concentration of auxin, a phytohormone or plant hormone that stimulates cell elongation.

With the sprouting, that concentration is released and it is possible to take advantage of it as a gardening trick to promote the growth of the roots.

Before you start, you can also find out what plants you can harvest quickly, or what spices you can grow at home, or what vegetables and herbs that if you eat once you can have forever.

  • 1 cup of lentils
  • 4 cups of water
  • 1 container
  • 1 tea towel
  • 1 bottle with a diffuser (or a plastic bottle with several holes in its cap)

Process

1. Place the lentils in a container along with the water. Cover them with a kitchen towel and let them sit for 3-4 days.

2. After that time you will see that the lentils have already germinated.

Note: if they have not germinated, keep them in water for 8 hours. Then, remove the water and leave them moist. Day by day moisten the lentils until they germinate. You can also see other sprouting tricks.
