Tips to transform anger and frustration into something positive

There are situations that can affect you a lot. It can be something that has happened to you at work, with a friend, with your family, with your partner, with yourself or something that has happened in your community with which you do not agree. Or maybe things just didn’t turn out the way you expected or imagined.

Anger, anger, and frustration are the most common response. We feel impotence, anger, disappointment. And in some way, that has to come out and express itself because if it doesn’t emerge it stays inside us and can generate stress, anguish, tension, or even physical illness.

But how do you express it without harming others or even yourself? Is it possible to turn negative into positive? Yes! The key? Know how and where to channel.

Anger, rage, frustration and any other emotion have something in common with each other: they are energy. What happens is that unlike others, what they generate for us is not well-being, but quite the opposite.

But as if it were an electric current you can change the pole: from negative to positive. Keep these tips in mind and learn how to deal with this.

Always remember that even though it bothers you, everything comes with a learning for you, although you may not be able to see it now. Everything happens at the right and precise time, and even what bothers you the most contributes to your growth. Do not forget.

1. Get some air

Since ancient times, contact with the earth has always been a discharge and also an energetic charge. That’s why if something like this happens to you, go out and get some fresh air, walk, move your body, take a nap on the grass, let the sun shine on your face. You will see that nature has something almost magical. It can help you unload that dense energy, cleanse yourself and charge you with positivity.

2. Write

Sometimes if you are angry or have a lot on your mind, you can use writing as catharsis. Don’t think too much, just take a piece of paper and write everything you would say, everything that bothers you, everything. Take it as a release exercise.

3. Sing

Another thing you can do is put on your favorite songs and sing like you don’t care. Bring out your voice, transform the strong and intense inner impulse to sing what you like the most and put you in a better mood. Do it at home, calm down, dance if you want too, or do it in the shower so you also get rid of everything heavy.

4. Meditate imagining something positive that could happen now

If you are one of those who prefer, when something like this happens to them, to go back inside, you can channel your anger or frustration through breathing and meditation. This will help you calm down and relax your mind to clarify thoughts and ease intense emotions. Try to visualize the way you want things to unfold from now on, so that the situation is resolved.

5. Distract yourself with something you like and/or do well

Anger and frustration are emotions and they usually have “spikes”, they are not constant. If you let the first moment pass, you will see how later things do not seem as dark to you as before. Go for a run, watch a good movie, tidy up your house, paint, play an instrument, or whatever you want. Art is always a good way to channel the negative and transform it into something beautiful.
