Is it possible to reverse your biological age?
Bryan Johnson is 45 years old, but a document with the results of his medical tests states that His heart is that of a 37-year-old person, and his lungs are those of a young adult.
Who is this man? He is a biotechnology entrepreneur who hopes to follow the natural course of aging and at the same time, to achieve the organs and health of an 18-year-old through an intensive data-driven experimental program that he has dubbed Blueprint Project.
According to a recent CEO profile published in Bloomberg, Johnson could spend up to $2 million on his body this year and early signs suggest that he may be on the right track to unlocking the secret to reversing his age and turning aging around.
The results of tests carried out by doctors suggest that Johnson has the heart of a 37-year-old, the skin of a 28-year-old, and the lung capacity of an 18-year-old.reported Ashlee Vance, of Bloomberg.
The program is directed by Oliver Zolmana 29-year-old physician who calls himself a “rejuvenation doctor,” and is supported by a team of more than 30 health experts, the report said.
Although still in the experimental phase and constantly being modified, the health program consists of a intense daily regimen of carefully selected supplements, meals, exercise and a series of body tests.
Johnson’s mornings, for example, start at 5 a.m. with a couple dozen supplements for all sorts of supposed health benefits: lycopene, metformin, turmeric, zinc and, for brain health, a small dose of lithium, among others.
Their meals, a mix of solid and soft foods, are vegan and limited to 1,977 calories a day. He exercises daily, with three high-intensity sessions a week, and undergoes blood tests, MRIs and colonoscopies every month, he describes. Bloomberg.
“What I’m doing may sound extreme, but I’m trying to show that self-harm and decay are not inevitable,” Johnson told the outlet.
All of his efforts in 2021 have resulted in what Johnson claims is a world record for epigenetic reversal at the age of 5.1 years.
In certain aspects of his health, he has even shown younger signs of age.Doctors say he has the swollen gums of a 17-year-old, and a device that records Johnson’s nocturnal erection rate is that of a teenager, Bloomberg reported.
Johnson also hopes to encourage others to follow his program, based on data and medical data, turning his relentless pursuit of youth into a competition.
He recently created a website called Rejuvenation Olympics (Rejuvenation Olympics), which shows an “epigenetic classification” of the 1,750 people in the world who are fighting against Father Time.
Johnson currently holds the top spot.
