He Falcon 2000LXS is the latest addition to Dassault’s best-selling private jet lineup, according to the company’s 2022 annual report.
In 2023, Dassault delivered 26 units of its business jets — including the 2000LXS — worth $1.18 billion (1.088 billion euros) in sales, according to a report by the General Aviation Manufacturers Association.

The Falcon 2000 was first produced in 1995.

The Falcon 2000 is manufactured by Dassault, a French aviation company that builds military aircraft and private jetsIt was developed from the Falcon 900, a popular business jet that Elon Musk bought before he became a billionaire in 2012. Taylor Swift also owned a Falcon 900 before selling it in January.
Several variants of the aircraft have been built since then. The Falcon 2000LXS, the most recent variant, made its first delivery in 2014. In total, around 700 Falcon 2000s have been built.
A new Falcon 2000LXS costs around $36.5 million (33.6 million euros), while a second-hand jet costs 24 million (22.1 million).

A new Falcon 2000LXS — manufactured in 2024 — costs more than $10 million (9.2 million euros) more than a secondhand aircraft built in 2015, according to charter company Guardian Jet.
Flying the Falcon 2000LXS for 300 hours a year costs about $5 million (€4.6 million) in operating costs, according to Guardian Jet. On average, the jet burns about 1,060 litres of fuel per hour, which equates to $1,400 (€1,290) in fuel costs per hour.
According to aircraft broker JetCraft, only 17% of Falcon 2000LXS were purchased secondhand, while the majority were purchased new in 2019.
The 2000LXS is powered by Pratt & Whitney PW308C engines, according to Dassault’s website.
Several similarly sized jets, such as the Gulfstream G280 and Bombardier 650, are significantly less expensive. Both cost around $24.5 million (22.6 million euros) new, according to Guardian Jet.
The Falcon 2000LXS has a range of 4,000 nautical miles or about 7,400 kilometers.

This means that the plane can Fly non-stop on routes such as Dubai to LondonNew York to Copenhagen and Singapore to Dubai, according to Dassault’s website. These flights typically last up to eight hours.
Several business jets, such as the Bombardier 650, have a similar range of 4,000 nautical miles.
The Falcon 2000LXS has an overall width of 21.4 metres, a length of 20.2 metres and a height of seven metres, according to Dassault’s annual report.
Both celebrities and big businessmen have acquired several models of the Falcon 2000 in recent years.

According to a report published in October by ForbesSeveral American tycoons own a Falcon 2000. These include the Andersen family, owners of the Oregon-based Andersen construction company, and Jeff Hansen, the third-generation owner of one of the largest meat companies in the United States.
John Travolta declared to Aviation International News in an interview in 2020 that he owns two Falcons: the 2000 and the 900. The famous Formula 1 driver Michael Schumacher also owned a Falcon 2000 with registration VP-CGM.
The Falcon 2000LXS has seating for ten passengers.

According to information provided by Dassault, the aircraft has two cabins: one with individual leather seats and the other with a conference table and dining area. The aircraft can be customized to add a divan bed or two additional seats.
It also has a kitchen, bathroom and storage area. There are no showers on board.
