A rooster in a neighborhood in Germany
Mr. Michael has his residence in the municipality of Bad Salzuflen, north-western Germany. He has space in his garden to raise birds. A few years ago, he bought several chicks and has let them grow on his land.

A couple of neighbors started the dispute in court
They are Friedrich-Wilhelm and his wife Jutta, neighboring neighbors of the aforementioned Mr. Michael. “The rooster has to get out of here,” these couples say. They are tired of complaining and asking for this problem to be solved.
“She starts at 8:00 am,” the couple affirms: “…but then she sings 100 to 200 times throughout the day. It’s torture.” The endless cackling of the bird has them stubborn, they hear it everywhere: bedrooms, shower, kitchen and living room.
It is normal for roosters to make noise, but in this case it seems to be an extremely rowdy specimen. The neighbors have had to close some windows to reduce the noise of the bird, but the hubbub is constant.
For his part, the defendant intends to fight in court. In his opinion, it is not a dangerous animal. Also, there are barking dogs in the neighborhood and no one complains. He says that he needs the rooster for the barnyard and the chickens.
What’s the rooster’s fault?
