Google workers are among the highest paid in the tech industry. By 2022, The average total salary was $279,802 (249,511 euros at the current exchange rate).
Although many of Their job offers specify base salaries that employees can earn, they can earn even more if stock distributions and salary bonuses are taken into account.
An internal spreadsheet that Google employees have access to — and that has been accessed by Business Insider— provides an inside look at the exact amount the tech giant pays its employees across a wide variety of jobs.
This spreadsheet includes Data volunteered by more than 12,000 American workers in 2022. It covers many types of profiles, including software engineers, business analysts, and salespeople.
This media outlet has created several bar graphs in which you can see the highest base salaries for each profile (in dollars), as well as the Google jobs with the highest base salaries, stock distribution, and salary bonuses. These charts are based on the highest values that have been indicated by staff for each role.
Stock awards are granted to Google employees in the form of restricted stock, which can significantly increase their total compensation. Not all employees have submitted their data with respect to shares and salary bonuses.
A few caveats to note: The data is for full-time US workers only. The figures also don’t reflect salaries for employees at other Alphabet (Google’s parent company) subsidiaries, such as Waymo or Verily.
