The company has been advertising its mobile as the device with the best processor yet, improved photo and video camera, great battery performance and 5G connectivity.

The Mi 10 series It incorporates some features of the Xiaomi Mi Note 10 (such as the powerful 108-megapixel camera or its incredible quality/price) but also important differences, such as its powerful processor and its dimensions.

In addition to the two high-end phones, Xiaomi has presented the Xiaomi Mi 10 Lite, a more affordable phone whose aim is to “make 5G accessible.”

Business Insider Spain has been able to test first-hand the Xiaomi Mi 10, a device that comes to challenge the recently presented Huawei P40, the Apple iPhone 12 or the Samsung Galaxy S20.

4 cameras with a 108 megapixel sensor

Following the trend of previous models, the Xiaomi Mi 10 includes the powerful 108 megapixel sensor from the Chinese manufacturer with f/1.69.

This one is accompanied by 3 more goalsdifferent in each model.

Xiaomi Mi 10:

  • 2-megapixel bokeh with f/2.4 aperture, for background blur (portraits).
  • 13-megapixel wide-angle with f/2.4 aperture, for landscapes.

Xiaomi Mi Pro:

The cameras come with AI 2.0, its intelligent photo editing algorithm to improve photography results.

Both models include a special sensor to prevent screen flickering when you try to take a photo of a device’s screen.

With the Xiaomi Mi Pro camera, you can record video in 8K and Xiaomi has added a feature so you can Apply portrait mode in a recording. It also adds ShootSteady to improve video stabilization and a Pro Mode to make the results more professional.

“This is the phone that leads video in the 5G era,” said Xiaomi’s international president.

As for the front, there is a single 20-megapixel lens that promises to take more than decent selfies. It is located on the top left, thus joining the growing trend of making the notch almost imperceptible and offering ‘all-screen’ mobile phones.

A huge screen that works super fast

Both models share the same features when it comes to the screen. Both the Xiaomi Mi 10 like the Mi 10 Pro incorporate a panel 6.67-inch Full HD+ AMOLED (2,340 x 1,080) with a 90 Hz refresh rateThis last figure indicates how many images the screen generates per second so that the user perceives the sensation of movement, that is, in this case, it loads 50% more images than a traditional screen.

At the base and on the top edge it includes two fully symmetrical speakers to guarantee “truly stereo sound”.

They also detect orientation and can adjust sound output depending on what is being played, which is especially important for gamers.

You won’t have any performance issues

Both the Xiaomi Mi 10 like the Mi 10 Pro mount a Snapdragon 865, Qualcomm’s latest processor to date, so you won’t have any performance issues. This is accompanied by 8 GB RAMso you can run all the games you want and have multiple applications open without any problems.

In connectivity, both devices are compatible with 5G, has dual-band Wi-Fi, USB Type-C for high-speed transfer and Bluetooth 5.0.

A battery that charges faster than ever

One of the differences between the two models is the battery and, curiously, it is the Mi 10 that has a few more mAh than the Mi 10 Pro:

  • Xiaomi Mi 10: 4,780 mAh (with which, according to the brand, you can last more than a day of autonomy), 30W fast charging, 30W wireless charging and 10W reverse charging for accessories.
  • Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro: 4,500 mAh battery, 65W wired charging, 50W fast charging (which allows you to charge the device to 100% in 45 minutes), 30W wireless charging (which promises to fully charge the phone in 65 minutes) and 10W reverse charging for accessories.

Xiaomi has presented a third smartphone, with more modest features and a clear objective, as explained by the president: “To make 5G accessible.”

The mobilemounts a Snapdragon 765 5Gnot as powerful as the rest of the series but more than enough for decent performance.

It has a 6.57-inch Super AMOLED display with FullHD+ resolution, a 4,160 mAh battery with 20W fast charging, 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage and weighs only 192 grams.

The main sensor of its quadruple rear camera is 48 megapixels.

The Mi 10 series is coming in April and is available from 799 euros

The Xiaomi Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro will be available on April 15 with a launch pack that includes the Mi True Wireless 2 earphones. The Xiaomi Mi Lite will be available a little later, starting in May.
