In the German city of Mainzon the west bank of the Rhine River, an unknown person was found dead in February 1468. For some years this destitute, half-blind old man received an allowance of clothes, grain and wine from the local governor, the same one who had its headquarters on the other side of the Rhine River, in Wiesbaden.Very few people remembered who he was or what he had accomplished. it was called Johannes Gutenberg and he was the father of modern printing.

Johannes Gutenberg He was born into a patrician family of Mainz, becoming a goldsmith and metal worker. Later he became a member of the Stramburg Goldsmiths Guild, which was then a German city, where he began to work on a very expensive dream that obsessed him: to find a method of printing medieval manuscripts that were carefully made by hand, without sacrificing their elaborate ornamental design.
It was only in 1455 that Gutenberg produced his first printed book, a beautifully illustrated copy of the Bible, in an edition of 200 copies. However, by this time he was heavily in debt to his business partner, Johann Furstwho invested in the venture and was eager to make a profit.Furst took Gutenberg to court and won his lawsuit, gaining control of the entire Gutenberg printing team, including the types of the famous Bible of 42 lines or Mazarins.
Thus Gutenberg faced financial ruin. However, his genius managed to alter the course of history and laid the foundation for the first large-scale revolution in information.
