Carlos Fresco took his 10-year-old dog Monty on his latest adventure. After having shared incredible moments with his beloved friend, she couldn’t let him go without taking one more ride through her favorite route.
For this reason, he took a wheelbarrow, in which he accommodated his dog to take him to climb the Welsh mountain range, Brecon Beacons. Heading for Pen y Fan Peak, which was the one Monty enjoyed the most on each of the trips.
the last ride
Both Carlos and Monty really enjoyed hiking in the aforementioned mountain range, even more so when they went together. Although they were 10 years of adventures for both, the dog began to suffer from leukemia.
Despite the fact that he underwent treatment, the cancer returned. For this, the farmer was losing spirit, strength, little by little he was deteriorating. What made his master was motivated to take one last walk.
Monty enjoyed the view, the road, the attention he received. As it happened every time they visited this place.
the last adventure
On his last walk through the mountain range, Monty caught the attention of many other visitors. Several people came up to caress him, pat him and even helped Carlos carry the wheelbarrow..
It was a moment that moved all the witnesses, there was more than one tear. But most importantly, Monty was able to go to his favorite place once again.
Sadly, the dog passed away on June 21after having battled cancer for more than 18 months.
“The little boy endured Father’s Day and now he is at peace,” Carlos commented emotionally.
