Study Art:
The history of art classifies cultures, establishes periodizations and observes how the characteristics that make them badges are manifested in each of these historical periods. When relying on several disciplines, a more complete study of the artistic manifestations that studies among which are sculpture, architecture, painting, ceramics, music the dance among others are obtained as a result.
Each of the sciences and disciplines on which the history of art is supported provides its particular vision of the events that formed the artistic legacy of man throughout history. Art had an elitist access character only fundamentally for the wealthy classes and for a long time to these collections the general public did not have access.
The works of art in many cases remained in the hands of private collectors and patron of the arts. Many works have been vandalized, stolen or damaged and thanks to the patient work of museum and galleries workers, these works have been recovered to be shared with the community. Unfortunately, many have been lost during the course of time and shamefully even today they are the object of unscrupulous and ignorant people who in their personal desire do not repair anything, even the cost of the integrity of the works.
Art today
Art today enjoys a wide network of study, dissemination and conservation of the entire artistic legacy produced by humanity throughout its history. During the twentieth century, institutions, foundations, museums and galleries have proliferated, in public and private sphere, dedicated to the analysis and cataloging of works of art, as well as their exposure to a majority audience.
Local and other national museums have been created that contemplate different and new themes that are not limited only to the so -called Fine Arts. In one way or another, art has become more within the reach of the great masses and the influence of these historical artistic works are observed in countless forms of design expression today and in the expressions of artists.
It should be noted that the rise of the media has been fundamental for the best study and dissemination of art in our day and has contributed to the proliferation of artists with new aesthetic visions but of course permeated from the cultural heritage of the past, they have grown both in number and in the possibility of artistic and technical expression.
