Strawberries are a delicious and tempting fruit; and in spring and summer, when it is the best time for production, they are not very expensive, at least in the countries where they grow naturally. Therefore, they are a very good option for a dessert.
It is very common to serve strawberries with whipped cream with sugar, but you may find it boring, a dessert that is too high in fat and calories, or you just want to try something new.
In any of these cases, you can prepare those strawberry cups in three minutes, with yogurt and dry meringues. Since they have meringue, they’re not exactly a light dessert either, but they don’t have the fat of cream or added sugar.
Ingredients
- 350 grams of strawberries
- 2 sachets of stevia (optional)
- 8 tablespoons of natural yogurt
- Ground dry meringues (a handful)
1. Wash the strawberries, remove the stem and the soft parts if they have any, and cut them into four. You can leave them for a while macerating in some liquor.
2. Place the strawberries in a bowl. If they are not sweet, you can add a little stevia and mix.
3. Add the yogurt, and mix again. Stevia can also be added to yogurt if you don’t like the taste of natural yogurt.
4. Move to individual containers, and cover the surface with diced meringues.
If you are going to have visitors, you can keep them in the refrigerator until dessert time.
Enjoy it!
