We announce it to you the day we renew the blog and today we get down to work. With today’s post we are launching a new section that we have named “Reader of the month”. A humble way of saying “THANK YOU” to all those who follow the blog as VIP Readers, as Fans on Facebook or in Twitter, that you support us with your recommendations and active comments. I’ve said it thousands of times: The Photographer’s Blog is nothing without you. So once again, thank you.
We start, then, this section with Ricardo S. Roman Villar, a regular reader, commenter and follower of our articles. I was struck by how active you are in your comments (and how fast you write them too). I am usually curious to find out more about the readers of the blog, which led me to discover his facet as a photographer, an amateur, yes, but with an impressive sensitivity and photographic eye.
There are people who communicate with animals but Ricardo does it with his camera. There is an IMPRESSIVE relationship and fluid communication between him and his camera, since it seems to guess with great precision what the boy expects from her, and he fulfills it 😉 The photographs that we publish below and that Ricardo has kindly given us attest to. .
This 19-year-old Catalan is studying to be a Mechanical Engineer. He shoots with a Nikon D90 and maintains a very healthy habit of assigning each of his photographs a famous quote.
Ricardo defines his taste for photography as follows:
«I like photography because it is a way of trying to see things in the world in another way, of trying to appreciate every detail of the world, plus I love going out for a walk with a camera in my hand and music in my ears. I love conceptual photography, trying to make my images have an underlying meaning, which I help to see through a famous quote in each of my shots.»
I leave you with a small selection of his inspiring photographs.
You can see the complete gallery in his Flickr accounttumblr, or follow and chat with him on Twitter.
