Our Photo Challenge aims to encourage you to practice photography, provoke you every week to spend some time with your camera and let your creativity fly while you practice and learn.
How Photoreto works
The concept of Fotoreto is very simple: every Friday I will propose a new photographic theme. Sometimes I will show you an example photo to inspire you, other times I will simply give you a hint or trick that you can apply when doing the Photo Challenge.
On each occasion you will have 7 days to participate in the Photochallenge of the week in question, until the following Thursday. upload as many photos as you wish to your favorite social network (Instagram or Facebook) without forgetting the hashtag or the label corresponding to the Photoreto in question along with the mention of @blogfotografo. this week will be #photoreto114. Eye!!!! This week only one photograph is valid. It can be new or old, but only one.
Each week we will select a winning photograph. The author of the photo will have free access to the Masterclass of their choice.
When you participate in the Photochallenge, we understand that you allow Photographer’s Blog to publish your photograph. In no case do you transfer your copyright to us. The author of the photograph and who maintains the exclusivity of copyright remains you.
Theme of the week: Your best photo (08/13/21-08/19/21)
Next Thursday is World Photography Day. This year to celebrate we have thought of a very special Photoreto. This time we are not going to use the camera. This time the challenge is different. Choose our best photography. IMPORTANT!!!! THIS TIME ONLY ONE PHOTOGRAPH WILL BE VALID PER PARTICIPANT. And it is that this premise is part of the photo challenge.
If it seems easy to you, it’s because you haven’t tried it yet 😜 . This is a really important challenge. The fact of deciding on a single photograph among the entire archive is a learning experience, an exercise in editing and self-criticism that is essential for any photographer. The same when you get to work you hate us for it, but later you will love us a little more 😆 .
Add the hashtag #fotoreto114, the mention @blogfotografo and don’t forget to give your photos a title. One of our Masterclasses can be yours, what are you waiting for?!

It has not been an easy task to choose a winning image for this #fotoreto114. More than 400 impressive photos have filled our networks, which makes us very happy 🙂 . Whether you are among the selected ones or not, the work of choosing your best photo, of analyzing and evaluating your work, should already be a prize in itself. You can see all the images on Facebook and Instagram.
That said, and after many doubts, as you will understand… 😉 We already have the winner of #fotoreto114 with the theme #tumejorfoto. This backlit image of Jesus Perez Camino @silencios____ It seemed beautiful to us.
It is an impressive composition, where the girl and the bicycle stand out for being located in a strong point of the image (rule of thirds), while they are framed by the tree on the right and the ground.
And, of course, the light of the sunset sun located just behind the protagonist, gives the final touch to this wonderful composition, full of balance between all the elements.
Regarding the technique, this backlight is perfect, which is not easy to achieve. The details are appreciated with great sharpness, we love the tone of the sky and the star-shaped light that sneaks under the girl’s arm.
And above all, we like it for the story it is capable of explaining. It smells like childhood, summer, adventures, dreams to fulfill. Wonderful.
