I bring you a new topic so you can go get your camera and practice your favorite hobby: photography.
Our Photo Challenge aims to encourage you to practice photography, provoke you every week to spend some time with your camera and let your creativity fly while you practice and learn.
How Photoreto works
The concept of Fotoreto is very simple: every Friday I will propose a new photographic theme. Sometimes I will show you an example photo to inspire you, other times I will simply give you a hint or trick that you can apply when doing the Photo Challenge.
On each occasion you will have 7 days to participate in the Photochallenge of the week in question, until the following Thursday. upload as many photos as you wish to your favorite social network (Instagram or Facebook) without forgetting the hashtag or the label corresponding to the Photoreto in question along with the mention of @blogfotografo. this week will be #photoreto103. You can participate with photos new or label ancient.
Each week we will select a winning photograph. The author of the photo will take a book from our BdF digital book library.
When you participate in the Photochallenge, we understand that you allow Photographer’s Blog to publish your photograph. In no case do you transfer your copyright to us. The author of the photograph and who maintains the exclusivity of copyright remains you.
Theme of the week: Blue (05/28/21-06/03/21)
Calm, rest, security, confidence… These are some of the sensations that the color blue can transmit. Depending on how you use color in your composition, you will be able to evoke some emotions or others. And that’s what today’s photoreto is about. I propose you to put into practice everything you have learned so far using the color blue. You dare?
Add the hashtag #fotoreto103 and the mention @blogfotografo to your photos and don’t forget to give them a title. One of our ebooks can be yours, what are you waiting for?!
Update
You make it more difficult every time! With such a high participation and those little blue bits from all over the world, making a decision is not easy. Thank you once again for making it possible.
We know that it is not easy to please everyone, photography is not an exact science, but an art and, as such, is subjective. Could others have been highlighted? Surely. Although the reasons why this is from Marisol (@marisoldiaz1), I’ll tell you right now.
The main reason why we have chosen this photograph is because, in addition to liking it, obviously, it combines history, technique and editing. A good photographer has to control these three aspects. One without the other loses strength. Together they always add up. A technically perfect photograph that counts for nothing, leaves you cold. An image with a story behind it, but which technically falls short of the acceptable minimum, will not stand out from the rest either. And editing or retouching is what makes you finish telling your story, that closes the creative process to convey exactly what you want with your image.
And all that is what this silhouette with the blue background encloses.
With a composition that gives prominence to the starry blue sky, the well-defined silhouettes, separated so that they are recognizable, are cut out from the background so that we can imagine the moment of games between the girl and her dog. There is an action going on, she is holding the ball and the animal is waiting impatiently to go for it. That makes us stop, that we get into the scene. The fact that we don’t see everything, activates our imagination, to guess the color of the pet, or the girl’s clothes, or even if flowers are drawn on the grass.
Arouse empathy and tenderness. On the other hand, blue is unconsciously associated, among others, with security and trust, and I think that between these two co-stars in the story it is evident that there is, so it contains a coherent message.
Congratulations Marisol, for your beautiful drawing in the sky of a beautiful story.
And with this photograph we leave a huge clue for tomorrow’s Photo Challenge. I know you don’t want to miss it 😉
