To whom?

As I told you at the beginning, it is a camera designed to be used in adverse weather conditions, to fight it, carry it in your backpack during your trips or practice extreme sports while enjoying photography. Its features make it a mid-high range camera.

It is not the most recommended for beginners. Its price does not make it attractive to see if photography is the hobby that runs through your veins and you would have many of the features it offers.

Yes, it is a camera indicated for those who plan to take photographs in low-light environments. The reason for all this we will see throughout the article 😉 .

Characteristic

It’s a small, light, but solidly-sealed camera with a tilting touch screen, good dynamic range, an exposure dial with five customizable functions, and a very efficient focusing system. In addition to all this, it works quite well at high ISO values. This is a brief summary of all the features that I present below:

• Sensor 24MP APS-C CMOS
• ISO: 100 – 819200. Obviously this maximum value is silly and you are not going to use it or expect very decent results with it. But it is fair to say that it is a camera that works quite well with high ISO values, as I have mentioned. Which makes it ideal for working with it in low light situations.
• Stabilizer in 5 axes that compensates up to 5 steps. This is also another good news for working in low light situations, as this stabilizer allows you to work with slower speeds than you would normally be able to use.
• Pentaprism viewfinder: 100% coverage.
• 3-inch LCD screen: folding, although it misses a little more versatility in the angles and the thick frame that has been placed to protect the screen is a bit unsightly.

• SAFOX 11 focus system, 27 stitches (25 cross stitches in the center). Translated, it is an efficient, fast and precise focusing system, at least with the viewfinder, when we talk about on-screen preview it lowers this efficiency a bit. It also responds better than other cameras in low light situations.
• Flash integrated retractable
• electronic shutter which allows speeds up to 1/24000.
• bracketing for Depth of Field, Scene and metering.
• Multi Exposure mode.

Design

Its design is compact and slim. It is a small camera in the hands and to adapt to a greater number of public it presents the option of changing the grips. There are three possibilities.

The construction is solid, the body is magnesium alloy and it is sealed at 67 points. That is why it is ideal to battle with it without fear of splashes, dust, etc. And it works well down to temperatures of -10º C.

Conclusions

As I told you in the title, it seems to me an ideal camera for those who leave their comfort zone every day, for those who do not want to fear rain or other inclement weather and who want to take their camera with them always and anywhere, to those who practice night and extreme sports, who need a sealed body, shoot at fast speeds to freeze the movement even when there is not much light and precise focus.
