This library will be very cheap, simple and practical. Apple crates are a versatile material, since you can arrange them the way you like best to make a design that suits your needs. When you have your library finished, you can stand it or hang it on the wall. This will depend on the size you have chosen.
– Apple crates (quantity needed depending on the desired size)
– Sandpaper No. 2
– Stain for wood or judea bitumen
– sponge
– Old t-shirts that you are no longer going to use
– Hammer
– Wood nails
Instructions
1. Sand the drawers well until the surface is even and smooth.
2. With a sponge, apply the dye or the judea bitumen on the drawers.
2. Using one of the old t-shirts, wipe the surface to remove excess. If you don’t do this, the finish will be sloppy. You will probably need to apply more than one coat.
3. Using the hammer, place the nails to join the drawers together. Take care to bend the end of the nail that will come out the other side.
Another option is to use perforated metal plates. To do this, you must make holes in those places where you will place them and use screws to fix them.
