He was born in Saint-Rémy-de-Provence, during the year 1503
A town in the southeast of France was the birthplace of Nostradamus. He died in the year 1566, at the age of 62. It is in 1555 when he wrote his famous prophetic quatrains, which many consider true successes of the future.
Have passed 455 years since the death of Nostradamus, but many continue to read and admire them. Therefore, we want to show some of the most famous divinations of him.
1.- THE MURDER OF JOHN F. KENNEDY
This appears in the XXVI quatrain of the I Century: “The great lightning falls by day, badly and predicted by a postulated bearer: the following omen falls at night, conflict in Reims, London, Etruscan bubonic”.
It is considered that “day lightning” was the shot that killed the thirty-fifth American president. The “next omen falls at night” would be the death of Lee Harvey Oswald, who shot Kennedy.
2.- THE HIROSHIMA AND NAGASAKY BOMBS
Quatrain VI of the II Century: “Near the gates and within two cities, there will be two lashes like nothing like it has ever seen, hunger, within the plague, thrown out by the iron, ask for help from the great immortal God.”
For Nostradamus, the two cities are Hiroshima and Nagasaky. The lashes are nuclear explosions, of which no one had seen anything like it.

3.- THE RISE TO POWER OF ADOLF HITLER
Centuria III, quatrain XXXV: “From the depths of the West of Europe, from poor people a child will be born, who will seduce the masses by his language, his fame in the kingdom of the East will grow even more”.
In addition, Nostradamus later repeatedly mentions the name of HISTER; whom he describes as evil and leads Europe towards a dire war. One of the most peculiar predictions of Nostradamus.
4.- THE DISCOVERIES OF LOUIS PASTEUR
This is how this prediction reads: “The lost is discovered, hidden for many centuries. The pastor will be celebrated almost as a divine figure. This is when the moon completes the great cycle of him, but by other rumors he will be disgraced ”.
For Nostradamus the “Shepherd” is “Pasteur”, who discovers fermentation and rejects spontaneous generation. Pasteur’s grave was desecrated during the Nazi occupation, thus being “disgraced”.
5.- THE ATTACK AGAINST THE TWIN TOWERS
In the XCVII quatrain of the XI Century it is read: “Five and forty degrees the sky will burn, fire approaching the great new city: instantly, a great scattered flame will jump”. This is one of Nostradamus’s most accurate predictions.
On September 11, 2001, the Al Qaeda group crashed two planes into the World Trade Center. The planes were moving at “45 degrees in the air”. The “new city” is New York and the explosion of the towers the “great flame”.
6.- THE TRAGEDY OF THE ANDES
In 1972, a Uruguayan Air Force plane crashed in the Andes Mountains. There were 40 passengers and only 16 survived. Those who stayed alive had to eat human flesh from the corpses.
Nostradamus to recount this in Centuria II, quatrain LXXV: “The voice heard from the unusual bird, on the ground spiral canyon. The price of the grain will rise so high that the man of the man will be cannibal.”
7.- THE DEATH OF JOHN PAUL I
A pontiff who died in 1978, being elected as Pope just 33 days before. It is rumored that he was murdered. A Nostradamus quatrain indicates several predictions consistent with this event:
“Elected Pope of the elector will be mocked, suddenly often excited, willing and shy. For too good and sweet to die provoked, fear oppresses the night of his guiding death.
8.- THE NAPOLEONIC WARS
Happens that Napoleon Bonaparte He is one of the most alluded to characters in Nostradamus’s predictions. The general on the island of Corsica, close to Italian lands. His wars were the most cruel and extensive until the world wars of the 20th century.
This is how Nostradamus seems to describe it: “An emperor will be born near Italy, who will cost the empire a high price, those who associate with him will say, that he is more of a butcher than a prince.”

9.- THE INDEPENDENCE OF THE USA
This is how the predictions read in the IV century, quatrain 96: “The sister of the British Isles. Fifteen years before her brother is born, by her promise proving true, he will succeed the kingdom of the scales.”
The “sister of the British Isles” is the North American land, colonized by the English. It became independent in 1776, fifteen years before France also declared itself a republic. In both nations, justice (balance) was the watchword.
10.- THE GREAT FIRE OF LONDON
It happened in 1566: London burned down, the main tower of the city (the old lady) falling. A total of 70 thousand people lost everything. Among Nostradamus’s predictions, this one seems to be very literal.
Century II, Quartet LI: “The blood of the just will be demanded of London. Burned by lightning of twenty three the six. The old lady will fall from her position above her, from the same sect, many will be killed ”.
11.- THE CORONAVIRUS PANDEMIC
Although Wuhan is not a maritime city, it does sell a lot of seafood. Apparently, from there comes a great disease that will wreak havoc. We quote this phrase from Nostradamus in his list of predictions:
“The great plague of the maritime city. It will not cease until death is avenged. Of just blood, condemned for a price without crime.
12.- THE SPANISH CIVIL WAR
One of the commented predictions, in the IX century, quatrain 41: “The assembly will come out of the castle Franco. The unpleasant ambassador will be schism: Those of Ribiere will be in the fight, and in the great abyss they will deny entry.
The word castle alludes to “Castilla” (Spain, cradle of the language). “Franco” is none other than Francisco Franco, who becomes dictator of Spain after the war. The “abyss” is World War II, which Franco refused to enter.
