It’s so hot in Arizona things are melting

If anyone in the world still had doubts about climate change, this summer in the northern hemisphere—and even the warm winter that is taking place in some cities in the southern hemisphere—should be enough to make them realize how dire the situation is.

Summer has begun with heat waves in Spain, in other European countries, and now in the United States. In Arizona, temperatures have exceeded 110°F, and reached 48°C. The temperature is so high that some plastic objects on the streets are literally melting.

In the images uploaded to social networks by citizens, you can see, for example, a garbage can whose base gave way to the heat, and a person who wears gloves to avoid burning his hands with the steering wheel while driving.

There were even those who decided to roast cookies behind the windshield of their cars to demonstrate that the temperatures are those of an oven.

Objects of urban design have also melted, such as signposts or the paint of traffic signals, and the plastic fences of some houses.

That’s not all: the heat will continue. At least for a week, temperatures will continue to exceed 43° or 44°C maximum. The wind chill may be higher. Keep in mind that summer is just beginning.

Are you still going to deny climate change, Donald Trump?
