The Arctic is running out of ice because of the changes that are taking place across the planet. Experts on the subject affirm that the situation is truly alarming. Earth has a natural way of removing it, however it is being produced in such large quantities that this process is insufficient.
Among the proposed initiatives are the macroalgae found along the coasts. In addition to absorbing five times more carbon than plants growing on the surface, they are one of the fastest growing organisms in the world.
“If a diet based on algae is proposed to cattle, a 90% reduction in methane production is achieved”says Ben Smith, a producer of macroalgae, on the tape.
