For a few months now, Instagram incorporated the option File, that made images disappear from your profile as it could be done until now with the option Eliminate, with the difference that File It allows you to recover both the images and the text that you attached to them if you later regret it.

Deleting a post is permanent and irreversible. All likes, comments, and statistics generated by that post will be deleted along with the photo. The archive option preserves all data and statistics for that publication.. So if at any time you regret it, you will keep the original statistics.

This way, you can make a certain post stop showing in your platform feed, or post album (by clicking on the image in question and simply clicking on File), and put it back in the same place where it was just by following these few steps. It’s very easy.

How to unarchive photos on Instagram

  • Open the Instagram app.
  • Click on the person-shaped icon at the bottom right. It will take you to your personal feed.
  • Go to the three horizontal lines icon that appears at the top right, your account settings.
  • Click on Archive, an option that is accompanied by a clock symbol with an arrow surrounding it.
  • There you will find all your archived photos, from the stories to your posts. In the options that drop down above, click on Archive of publications.
  • There you will find all your archived posts.
  • To recover them in the same place where they were in your profile, just click on the image.
  • And click on Show in profile.
