Create boards in the color and shape you want by following these simple steps. Use them to write down your daily tasks or inspirational phrases. They can also be used to make gifts or as a toy for the little ones. Another option is to use the paint on picture frames or boxes and decorate them with the drawings that you like the most.
If you have an old or damaged wooden object, you can take the opportunity to reuse it.
Materials
- A spoonful of pastina (grout without sand)
- A container for mixing
- A spoon
- ½ cup of acrylic paint
- A brush
- A wooden surface for painting
- Whiteboard
- cleaning cloth
Process
1. Measure a tablespoon of paste (grout without sand). This is a very volatile powder, so make sure you do this in a well-ventilated area. Also measure half a cup of acrylic paint.
2. Mix the paste with the paint until there are no lumps.
3. Paint the wooden surface with the mixture. This will harden quickly, so be sure to only prepare the amount that you are going to use. You won’t be able to store what’s left over.
4. Once completely dry, prepare the surface for its first use. First, rub a piece of chalk gently. Then wipe it down carefully using a cloth. Thus, your whiteboard will be ready for its first use.
