Many people tend to get up with great effort, without having rested, irritable and in a bad mood, but we can surely combat all of this naturally with a few good tips. Do you feel tired, exhausted and need strength to start your day? A good way to reverse it is by practicing some yoga postures.
Renowned yoga instructor Tara Stiles explains how to perform 7 moves that fight fatigue and increase stamina. You don’t need anything special to perform these postures, just dedicate a few minutes to perform this routine that helps you recover your energy and feel happy with yourself and with others.
1. Easy stretch in a sitting position
Sit comfortably with your legs crossed and your back straight. If you don’t find it comfortable to cross your legs, try sitting on your heels. Rest your hands on your thighs, without squeezing them. Close your eyes and inhale deeply through your nose; then exhale slowly through the mouth. Establish a deep breathing rhythm that makes you feel comfortable and that you can hold for a few minutes. Once you have achieved it, open your eyes.
2. Cow Face Stretch
Place one knee on top of the other and let your feet rest at your sides. If you find this position uncomfortable, don’t force your body into it. You’d better hold the easy sitting position as you take several more breaths. If you feel comfortable with your knees together, inhale and exhale a few times in this position. You can stay with your back straight or lean your trunk forward.
3. Easy Side Flexion in a Seated Pose
Rest your right hand and forearm on the floor to your right; then raise your left arm, arch it slightly, and flex your trunk to the right. Take several deep breaths in this pose. Then, straighten your body and repeat the bend to the other side.
4. Slow forward bending in a sitting position
Place your hands in front of you, comfortably spaced apart, and rest your forearms on the floor. Don’t worry about how far you can flex; maybe it’s just a little today, and tomorrow a little more. Better focus on your feelings. Allow your body to stretch and relax as you breathe.
5. Slow back arch in a seated posture
Put your hands behind you and rest your fingertips on the floor. As you inhale deeply, she lifts her hips and slowly arches her torso. As she exhales, she slowly lowers her hips to the floor and relaxes her body.
6. Stretches in cow and cat poses
Get on all fours. As you inhale deeply, arch your body toward the ground and look up (cow). As you exhale, arch your back up, bow your head, and look down at your belly (cat). Alternate poses at one-minute intervals.
7. Downward-Facing Dog Stretch
Starting from the previous pose, inhale deeply to lift your hips back into downward facing dog. Relax your head, neck and shoulders. To maintain balance, separate your hands and feet slightly. Stay in this pose while you take five slow, deep breaths.
Starting the day with a good attitude and a smile is an arduous task for many of us, but physical exercise, even if it is only a short session of dynamic stretching, can help us in this task.
After eight hours of sleep (in the best of cases) in which we have been immobile in a position that may not be the best for our body, we need to gradually wake up our system, including the muscles that will have spent the night. stiff night.
Activating blood circulation, thus favoring tissue oxygenation, will help us have more energy and prevent fatigue in the early hours of the day. In addition, muscle stiffness will disappear and our flexibility will improve, a pending issue for some.
Other habits to accompany this exercise.
A fundamental issue is water. The first thing we should do when we get up is drink two glasses of warm water, which will activate our body and cleanse the toxins from the day before. This simple advice will also allow us to put our intestines into operation, which is directly related to our state of mind.
Another interesting tip for the morning is to take a cold shower. Hot water relaxes and cold water activates, so in the morning we should start the day with cold water. If it is difficult for us, we can start showering with lukewarm water while we soap ourselves, but we must finish with a minute of cold water on the entire body except the head. When we get out of the shower, we will dry ourselves by rubbing the skin well to warm up again.
Finally, to complete we have the most appetizing part, a good breakfast, which includes all the nutrients that our body needs first thing in the morning. In our breakfast should not miss:
- Fruit or fruit juices: Citrus fruits are one of the best fruits to eat, as they give energy and improve mood.
- Cereal: oats, corn, wheat, spelt, rye, essential that they be integral so that they provide us with all their nutrients
- Dairy products.
