According to Buddhist beliefs, the body’s chakras represent the great energy centers, which are linked to different aspects.
In principle, all the chakras are of equal importance, since what truly contributes to the happiness of individuals is the correct balance between them. If some chakras are closed, the others will tend to be more active to fill the gaps, and then we will not be achieving a spiritual balance.
Despite this, Anhata is particularly important as it is the chakra of love. If it is closed, we will not be able to love selflessly, and we will never achieve a true love connection with another.
This chakra, the fourth, is associated with the color green, and is located right at the height of the heart. To open it, you can do all these exercises, physical, mental and spiritual.
Add green to your life
As we said, Anahata is associated with the color green. Therefore, a great way to activate this chakra is through nature.
Try, for example, doing yoga exercises outdoors. Or go for a walk in the park. Connect with nature, which is a great first step in opening your chakra.
You can also add plants to your life. If you have a garden, prepare a vegetable garden. If you live in a small apartment, a few houseplants will make the green energy spread to you.
reconcile with yourself
There is a phrase that may seem cliché, but the truth is that it is super real: if you do not love yourself, you will not be able to give love to others.
You must practice the exercise of reconciling with the person you are. The things that happened, happened for a reason. Stop blaming yourself for things that didn’t go as expected: there are many better things waiting for you, if you intend to find them.
You can’t love if you don’t accept yourself with what you like and what you don’t like about yourself. Put your hand on your heart and say to yourself: “I love you. I accept you as you are. You are important. Your life counts.”
live the present
Beyond the pain you have been through, or your fears for the future, you must be able to focus on the present. That will allow you to let go of the bad things, and learn to enjoy the here and now.
A good idea, taken from gem therapy, is to always wear pink quartz and a tourmaline, ideal for maintaining energy balance. If you can, wear them close to the heart.
Another idea is to play a sport and, during the time you practice it, focus 100% on it. Swimming, cycling or running can be good options: they will help you focus on the now.
Love much
The most important thing to unlock the love chakra is to love a lot. Try attending a volunteer, a solidarity activity, or simply going to visit someone in your family who is having a bad time and prepare a delicious snack.
When you are not afraid to give yourself to others, with a pure and selfless love, love will come back to you without a doubt.
Love unconditionally and don’t be afraid to receive love in return. It is the fundamental exercise to unlock your Anahata.
