Everyone’s skin is different. Many are lucky to have healthy and balanced skin, but it is very common to have skin that is too dry or oily.
When we have oily skin, the pores tend to look dilated and a shine is generated, especially on the face, in the area of the cheeks, nose and forehead. Also, this skin is more prone to acne and pimples.
It is good to keep in mind that oily skin can be a warning sign about our health: it is an excessive accumulation of sebum, but its causes may include a poor diet and hormonal imbalances. In other cases, the cause is genetic.
Once health issues have been ruled out as the cause of oily skin, many people may want to treat it for purely cosmetic purposes. In these cases, you have to be very careful, because it is possible that commercial products damage the skin even more.
Conventional cosmetic creams have chemicals such as formaldehyde, parabens or paraffin that are toxic to our body. Also, the skin can become dependent on them and produce more oil when we stop using them.
Therefore, it is better to use natural treatments, which are also just as effective, since there are many elements in nature that are extremely beneficial for our skin.
How to treat oily skin?
Treatment with Aloe Vera
First of all, wash your face and, if you can, exfoliate it. You can gently rub it with a little sugar to remove dead cells.
Then, place the aloe gel all over your face and you will see how it absorbs excess oil and also cleanses your pores. Repeat this procedure two or three times a day.
Then wash your face and let it dry.
Treatment with apple and oats
Mix ½ cup of ground apple with ½ cup of cooked oats. It will be better if you add egg white and a tablespoon of lemon juice.
Form a paste and place it on the face for 15 minutes. Then rinse with cold water.
lemon astringent
Combine the same amount of lemon juice and water and then apply it to the face. Let it act for 15 minutes and then remove it with lukewarm water. Finally, refresh with cold water. It is as good as any other astringent.
If these treatments interested you, you can also try a tomato mask, or a specific natural treatment for acne.
