These decorative planters look like sculptures created by an artist. However, it is a very simple project that you can do yourself at home. You can use them to make your garden look better, but they can also work as an original centerpiece.
Materials:
- – A pair of latex gloves
- – Cement
- – A container to mix the cement
- – Some utensil such as a gardening shovel, to prepare the mixture
- – a scissor
- – Paint (optional)
Instructions
1. Prepare the cement following the instructions on the package.
2. Fill the gloves. The fingers will be the most complex part since there will be air inside them. You will need to press down to get the bubbles out and let the cement fill the space with air.
If you want to join the two hands, make a small cut under the little finger of both gloves and join them by the excess cement. Thus, they will dry in one piece.
3. Once you have the gloves filled, shape the fingers as you like. You can use rocks or some other heavy object to hold them in position.
4. Let them dry well. As solid as they feel after a few minutes, it’s best to wait a few hours.
5. Using scissors, cut the gloves to remove them.
6. If you want, you can paint your planters in any color.
