Necessary materials
– An empty and clean wine bottle
– 1/2″ Teflon tape
– 3 hole mount
– 1″ double copper staples
– 1/2” x 3/8” copper coupling
– Copper cap
– Two 3/8” threaded nuts
– Two screws for the mount
– 8” rod with thread on both ends
– a wick
– Organic oil fuel for lamps and torches
– small funnel
General procedure
1. Use the tape to wrap the larger end of the coupling in Teflon tape so that it fits inside the neck of the bottle without falling to the bottom.
2. Insert the coupling into the neck of the bottle, to introduce the fuel into the bottom of the bottle with the help of a small funnel.
3. Then, remove the coupling and place the wick inside, leaving about 2 cm of it protruding from one of its ends. This will be the part that will be visible and where the flame will be lit.
4. Place the wick in the bottle and test the copper cap over the top scrap. This will serve to keep it away from water and dew from the outside environment.
Note: For safety reasons it is recommended to place the torch outdoors.
5. Fix the bottle holder on the wall, or on the surface where you want to place your torch, by screwing it into the two side holes of the metal mount. In the hole that you have left free, screw the rod and adjust it with one of the nuts.
Then, put on the remaining nut and, on the end of the rod, mount the double copper staples. Place the bottle and fit well.
6. To finish, light your torch and enjoy the magic of your garden.
