In this note you will learn how to make a puff with a bucket of paint that you can use to decorate your house that you just painted. In addition, the interchangeable cushions will make this a perfect resting place so you can relax every day.

Necessary materials

– An empty paint bucket

– A circle of cardboard the diameter of the bin

– Printed fabrics that you want to reuse larger than the diameter of the bin

– Thick sisal rope or thread or more fabrics you want to reuse

– Glue gun

– A button

– Thread and needle

– Adhesive Velcro

-Towels to reuse or other similar material

General procedure

1. Line the sides of the bin with the rope, using the glue gun and turning very carefully. You can also cover it using reused fabrics with the design that you like the most; you can even use rubber or paper tablecloths.

2. Cut out a circle of cardboard the size of the diameter of the bin to make the cushion. Use this as a pattern to cut a piece of fabric slightly larger than the circle, with enough excess to fill and fold down. Review the following steps before trimming the fabric to make sure it’s not too small.

3. Sew the fabric with a button in the center of the cardboard as the picture shows. Then, fill the space between the cardboard and the fabric with rolled-up old towels for a fluffy seat.

4. Cover the entire surface of the cardboard with towels.

5. When you’re done, shape your pillow or cushion by tightening the button and covering the towels with the fabric. Fold down the excess.

6. Flip the cushion over and glue the ends of the fabric underneath. To make it more neat, you can cut a circle the exact size of the cardboard and glue it, covering the joints.

7. Finally, to join the cushion to the base, stick a cross of adhesive velcro on each piece. You can make several cushions of different colors and interchange them to renew the style of your house.

You can also use different fabrics and materials to cover the bin and make the cushion.
