The train is direct and the journey time is 6 hours and 40 minutes. The advantage is that despite being more than 6 hours, you will travel from the Gare de Lyon station in Paris to Barcelona Sants, both stations are very well located in the cities, so it will be very easy and cheap from here to move to the attractions of the cities (something that won’t happen if you arrive at the airports).

Going from Paris to Barcelona by plane is a good idea, since this journey can be really cheap by this means of transport: less than 30 euros. However, be careful with the great offers since in many cases they are from airlines such as Ryanair that arrive at Beauvis airport, on the outskirts of Paris, so a bus cost of almost another 20 euros must be added to the flight. Therefore, I recommend that you buy it better with an airline like Vueling where you can get the trip for less than 30 euros and you arrive at the Orly or Charles de Gaulle airports, much better connected to the city by train, bus and tram.

Another alternative is to travel by bus. This journey is more than 14 hours and although you do not need to change buses, you will have several stops along the way.
