The moon has a powerful influence on the earth. The tides and the female menstrual cycle, for example, are natural elements that are influenced by the moon.
Of all the phases of the moon, the full moon is the one with the most powerful magnetism, as it is the one that appears when the earth is right between the Sun and the Moon. At this moment the angle of elongation or phase of our satellite is 180º and the illumination is 100%.
The strength of the full moon is enormous, so much so that since ancient times it has been considered an amulet of abundance and prosperity.
For this reason, performing rituals that have the moon as the protagonist is something that has been present, to a greater or lesser extent, in all cultures.
On the other hand, that on the first day of the year (specifically, the night that will go from January 1 to 2) there is a full moon, which will also be a supermoon because of how close it will be to Earth, it is not something that happens frequently.
So it is an excellent occasion to take advantage of the special energy of the first full moon of the year and ask that these 365 days be marked by abundance.
Introduction to the ritual
The most common wish at the end of the year is “Happy New Year”. The end of the year, although it may seem somewhat symbolic, is a good time to close a cycle and start a new one.
Whenever there is a new beginning in our life, the main desire is prosperity and abundance. May the good things not be lacking, and may the bad ones go away.
The full moon is an excellent time to set these resolutions in motion, thanks to its powerful energy. So nothing better than taking advantage of the first moon of the year to ask for good things for the days to come.
In this ritual we will use:
- 1 bowl or glass bowl
- 1 glass cup (that fits in the previous container)
- 1 ticket
- 1 spoon of sugar.
- some water.
- 1 metal tray
Water is the primordial symbol of wealth, accompanied by a ticket that will serve as an amulet (keep in mind that the ticket you use will not be able to spend it later, you must keep it).
Although a ticket is used, we are not only talking about attracting economic wealth, but also an abundance of good things in general. We will use it because in our culture it is a symbol.
Process
1. First, take the bowl or glass bowl and add some water to it.
2. On the other hand, in the smallest glass place a tablespoon of sugar.
3. On the metal tray, place the bill/charm.
4. Now, put everything together as follows: put the bowl with water on top of the ticket, and inside it place the glass with sugar. Prevent water from entering the glass or from floating (if necessary, remove a little water from the bowl to do this).
Put the whole assembled set on the patio, balcony or window, trying to get the moonlight. But take care that it is a safe place where it will not fall.
Completion of the ritual
Once you have found the appropriate place, leave what you have prepared and, before going to sleep, say this spell:
- ”Sacred full moon, may your energy and light be transmuted and your magnificence reach my life, may this water be the mirror, and sugar the conductive medium so that abundance arrives in all areas of my life. So be it”
Leave the tray overnight in the same place and just before the sun rises, remove it.
Keep the ticket in your wallet right away, as it will be your amulet of abundance. Differentiate it from the rest so as not to spend it!
Next, mix the water and sugar together, dig a small hole in your patio or in a potted plant, and pour it in.
And that’s it. Open up so the universe can fill you with abundance!
