We understand by log a notebook in which we keep data referring to a particular activity (Currently there are also virtual blogs, for use on computers, laptops and smartphones). The blogs have a characteristic structure of use and proper management of the data contained therein. Likewise, the booklets themselves and the structure that they have have also been called a logbook.
They differ from other similar tools such as agendas or personal diaries, for example, in that in the log the data that is placed is not deletedbut instead if there is an error that is placed in it, an errata is placed to make the pertinent clarification to the error in question, this being one of its main characteristics.
In this article, you will find:
The log is used to record the facts of some activity.
The log is named in this way, as a direct consequence of having been a nautical recording and annotation instrument, used on ships for a long time, since it was placed in the “log”, which is a kind of hermetic drawer that is located near the rudder of old ships, that is, the notebook is called a logbook, as a direct consequence of the place in which it was placed in the past.
Today, blogs are usually digital and used in subjects as different as the workplace and school.
