Family references serve to recommend a person interested in obtaining a job, a loan, or some other type of loan. They are called this way precisely because the sender of said document is a relative of the person concerned. Normally family references are requested by phone by the company that wants to know more about the person in question, however, this type of reference can also be given through letters.
Like any letter, family reference letters must include a heading stating the place and date it was issued, as well as the sender’s signature. In addition to this, the person sending the letter will need to leave some contact details. These letters can be addressed to a particular company, or start with “to whom it may concern”.
