An anagram is a word or phrase that is formed by rearranging the letters of another word or phrase. Some animal anagrams are: cat – drop, condor – string.

- of letters. They conform when the same letters are used, but in a different order. For example: mackerel – was silent.
- of words. Two or more words are extracted from a word, whose letters have the order altered. For example: pelican – neither coupling – pica león – nor the capo.
