A dozen wild jaguars already inhabit the Esteros del Iberá

Mariua, the first jaguar released in Iberá Park in 2021, gave birth to two new cubs. In a year and a half, the population of jaguars in Corrientes, where the species was extinct, went from zero to 12 free wild individuals in the Esteros del Iberá. In addition, new individuals will soon be added to this growing population.
