Community Manager Agenda: The solution to organize your day to day

There is a very widespread phrase of the Chinese thinker Confucius that says “Choose a job that you like and you will never have to work a day in your life”. And rightly so, if you are a Community Manager and you like your profession, your days will surely fly by in front of your computer. However, I would say that to really like your work you need an additional ingredient: order. And what better way to organize the Community Manager’s agenda than with our template?

Download the template: Community Manager 2019 content agenda

We have created a Google Drive spreadsheet where you can find the best way to organize and coordinate your work as a Community Manager. In it you can easily collect all the publications in social networks (text and image) for your different clients, adding the time of their publication and using the color code to identify if the publication is made, scheduled or pending.

Other tricks to organize the agenda of the Community Manager 2019

Although the previous agenda template is only designed for the task of generating and publishing content on the client’s social networks, you can also add new boxes under those of the social networks indicating other tasks, such as:

  • Review private messages of users
  • Review user posts
  • follow new users
  • make monthly report
  • Send results report to clients
  • blog post
  • mailing

You can review our Community Manager features post where you can also see more than 100 Community Management tools that you should know

In addition to this additional function of our template to organize the Community Manager’s agenda, here are some other tips so that your work in the new year is much more organized and time is much more precious to you:

  • Set a schedule. Although it is important to be attentive to the comments of the users, it is essential that you set a schedule to be 100% doing the scheduled tasks. Otherwise, it is possible that you spend all day in front of the computer, something that, no matter how much you like it, will tire you out in the long run.
  • Value your work. Only by properly valuing your work and training to improve it will you get clients to pay you as you deserve. Otherwise, as much as you love your job, over time you may feel discouraged for not earning enough.
  • Avoid distractions. That just got to the computer and have a good time with your email, blog or personal fan page, or even mix time shopping online with work. In the end, you will not know how long you have really been working. The best thing is that you also set hours for your personal use of the computer, for example, while you have breakfast you can browse the news of the day and your social networks, at noon you can take the opportunity to take a look at your online purchases, etc.
  • Silence your mobile. Nowadays we are very used to the continuous distractions of the mobile and we think that this does not really affect our work but… try it! Leave your mobile in silence and away from your work table for an afternoon. You will see everything you advance!
  • Organize your breaks. Getting up for a glass of water or coffee after one or two intense hours of work is not a waste of time, quite the contrary, it will allow you to recharge your batteries to get back on track. If you don’t take adequate breaks, your rhythm will drop throughout the day and the result of your work will worsen, so don’t even think about skipping lunch!
  • Be clear about your weekly goals and daily tasks. Learn to prioritize each action based on your goals for the week, otherwise you’ll find yourself running out of time to do everything you’re supposed to do. And in the end you will only run into problems for doing things quickly, and therefore of low quality, or directly leaving things pending and really important.

My goals as a Community Manager for 2019

Finally, for a top-notch year, in addition to organizing your Community Manager agenda very well, don’t forget to reflect on your goals as a Community Manager for the new year and incorporate them into your agenda as if it were just another client. You may want to incorporate time to dedicate to:

  • New blog design and services restructuring
  • Training to expand services
  • Creation of infoproducts and lead magnets
  • Publication and dynamization of own social networks
  • Writing blog post

It is important that the day-to-day work with clients does not overwhelm all your time… you have to learn to invest in yourself! In this way, you will be able to evolve as a Community Manager and be able to offer more complete online marketing services, perhaps one day dedicating yourself to digital marketing consulting and even subcontracting beginner Community Managers to whom you can delegate tasks to expand your business.
