Best Photo Spots in New York

Brooklyn bridge

Not only is it one of the city’s staples, but it’s also one of the most photogenic spots in New York. If you want to avoid the crowds and have spectacular views, the best time to visit is at dawn, but since this is difficult if you want photos alone, just look for the side perspective.

Dumbo

Once you finish your walk on the Brooklyn Bridge it is time to take a walk and some good photos in the Dumbo area. One of the most classic options is photography in Washington Street, but since you will find it with a lot of people at practically any time, I recommend the views you will have from the Time Out New York terrace in the same neighborhood.

Central Park in New York

There is a lot to see and do in Central Park, so you’ll find plenty of options for photos. Some of the most iconic are the Alice in Wonderland sculpture, Strawberry Fields, Belvedere Castle and The Wall. Here is the map with the locations of these places and what else you can do in Central Park.

Street Art in New York

This is not just one site, but several. New York City is full of works of street art ideal for spectacular photos. Some of my favorites are in the Bronx area.

Another of my favorites is the “Audrey Hepburn” one located in Little Italy.

Times Square

A city area and an attraction at the same time. It is an intersection of avenues in Manhattan, located on the corner of Broadway Avenue and Seventh Avenue. It is a major commercial area as well as an entertainment zone characterized by its bright neon advertising.

Travel tip. If you want to get to know Times Square with a guide for free, reserve your spot on the Free Walking Tour of Midtown. You can reserve your spot here.

King Kong at Hudson Yards

Just outside the Hudson Yards subway you’ll find this sculpture of King Kong: one of New York’s favorite characters.

The Vessel

Very close to King Kong you will find Vessel, New York’s controversial new attraction. It is currently closed indefinitely after several suicides, however, it is still possible to visit the place from the outside and take spectacular photos.

⚠️It is mandatory to travel with insurance
